1. Did you ever get the impression that you could earn God’s favor by doing things for him (or for the church)? Do you still feel this way now?

2. Have you ever felt like God was absent or far away? What did it feel like?

3. Since you have accepted Jesus into your soul, have you been able to personally experience God’s presence? What has it been like for you?

4. In what way(s) do you best feel closest to God? Have you found certain disciplines or activities that have helped you to really know God more?

5. How did Jesus show us how to not only know God but to reflect God? Do you think we (as Jesus-followers) are doing well in reflecting God to others? Why or why not?
