1. Which of your possessions do you value most? What is it about them that makes them so valuable to you?

2. Read Matthew 13:44-45. What stands out to you about these two men in Jesus’ story?

3. Can you relate to either of these men?  Why or why not?

4. Jesus taught that to be first, you must become last; to receive, we must give; to live, we must die; and so on. This sounds so backwards to logical thinking. Does knowing these teachings help you as you try to walk out your faith? Why or why not?

5. What are some practical steps we could take to live within God’s idea of “being rich”? What will you do personally?
