DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. Grab a couple of products that are nearby and read the labels out loud to the group. Discuss the value and benefits of having that information readily available.

2. We can be quick to hang a label on a person that we meet. What is the problem with being quick to judge someone else without getting to know them?

3. Read Matthew 7:1-2. What are the consequences of judging someone? How do we get caught in these consequences, and what is the result of that?

4. How can we avoid falling into the trap of judgmentalism and making sure that our hearts are right as we encounter people who are different than us, believe differently than us, or challenge our way of thinking?

5. What are practical ways that we can extend God’s grace to anyone and create a “Welcome Home” environment as an individual, as a group and as a church?
